What We Want! 2009 | Radical Artists' Retreat

This past weekend about 80 artists from across North America gathered at Chicago's Co-Prosperity Sphere for the What We Want! retreat. Among those in attendance, were about six Just Seedsters and tons of allies.

Over the course of three day, we discussed the state of anti-capitalist cultural work and how we can collectively move forward. Coming form a variety of institutional positions and working in a variety of 'genre,' the retreat served as an exciting site of dialogue and action. Although the outcomes of the retreat are still uncertain, the possibilities are endless.

If nothing else, I met some rad folks and spent a couple of nights in a sleeping bag on the floor of the Co-Prosperity Sphere.
