Studs Terkel's Working, But I'm Not

Now that the weather is warming up, the last thing I want to do is work. It seems that is all we do in our alienated late-capitalist existence.

Recently, though, I've been spending too much time house painting, changing screen doors, and playing whiffle ball with the grrls. Which means my productivity (labour) has decreased. I ain't ashamed, though. It's a good thing that I am a fan of Paul Lafargue's The Right to Be Lazy. Anyone else read Marx's son-in-law?

In the time that I am working, I've been busting out two chapters for an upcoming graphic adaptation of Working. I'm creating the chapters on Roberto Acuña (a farmworker) and Jesusita Novarro (just a housewife, as Terkel writes tongue-in-cheek). I just sent the drafts to the editor. Hope he likes them.

Now it is time to drive to la tierra encantada. Estrella and I will spend a few days in Denver and the Rocky Mountains before driving south to Burque. Wazz up Burqueños?

Scope a few random pages I'm working on.
