Buffalo Bill Cody and La Familia Torrez-Miner

While passing through North Platte, NE, Estrella and I stopped at a Buffalo Bill Cody 'Museum.'  I'm not a fan of Cody, but rather I'm interested in his complex relationship with Indigenous people of the Plains.  My interest emerges form the fact that Métis freedom fighter Gabriel Dumont traveled with Cody while exiled form the Dominion of Canada.  Hmmm…

These figures are quite freaky and definitely not the direction that the new museology represents aboriginal peoples.  But hey, this is North Platte and not really a museum.  While passing through North Platte we saw lots of big cowboy hats (not on norteños either) because the city was hosting Nebraskaland Days.
